WASTE TIRES: Reuse & Recycle before Burn & Bury

Build a better way

  • Wise Waste Use

    EPA Ranks Best to Worst:

    1. Reduce/Reuse

    2. Recycle (Into Products)

    3. Burn (Tire Derived Fuel - TDF)

    4. Bury (Alternative Daily Cover - ADC)

  • BURNING: Stop Subsidies

    1) Ban subsidies for burning waste tires

    2) Ban burning (TDF) period

    3) Sustainable “RECYCLING” is not burning

  • BURYING: Stop Subsidies

    1) Ban subsidies for burying shredded tires

    2) Ban burying shredded tires (ADC)

    3) Sustainable “RECYCLING” is not burying

  • Build Better

Since 2017, Colorado has burned & buried 700,000,000 pounds of waste tires. The State paid $13 million in citizen fees and taxes to subsidized burning and burying. This is not sustainable “RECYCLING”.

  • Sustainably Smart

Products made from waste tires divert them from incinerators and landfills and gives States a simple way to support smart and sustainable “RECYCLING”.
